- Why the lack of success does not mean failure.
- How she uses visualization in her morning routine.
- Why having a marketing plan is so important.
What is your main product or service and why are you so passionate about it?
Video is our main service. We help real estate professionals and small businesses create fun video content to bring in more business without tech overwhelm. Most often we create videos that introduce you and your business to potential customers so you’re able to bring in more business.
We’re passionate about this because of how much it transformed our own lives. We started this business when we were mortgage loan officers. Once we started using video to market ourselves, we saw a huge increase in business and before we knew it, we had to choose between video and mortgages. It was an easy choice, because video is so much fun and we were never as passionate about mortgages.
What is one trait of a successful entrepreneur?
Determination! Successful entrepreneurs keep pushing, keep trying, try new things and just don’t stop. That doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy time off or push themselves to the max. It means they’re determined to succeed and they won’t stop until they do.
In my mind, if I’m not seeing success with something, it doesn’t mean I’m failing. It means I need to make adjustments and have some patience. Because I know that as long as we keep moving forward, success is guaranteed.

What is your favorite free or inexpensive resource that has made the biggest impact on your business and why?
YouTube! You can learn anything on YouTube, and for marketing, it’s one of the best platforms to use, if you know how to utilize it (this is something we help clients with too). The YouTube community is really incredible too. Super supportive and uplifting!
What is your morning routine?
I love my morning routine! I’ve been practicing the Miracle Morning (by Hal Elrod) for years. I start with a 10-20 minute meditation followed by some affirmations. I visualize the day ahead and how I want it to go, and then visualize whatever big goal I’m working towards in my life. I journal and read a book and finish with a walk with my dogs. In 2021 I’ll be adding yoga at the end of this routine.
How are you currently marketing your business?
Currently we use social media and YouTube to market our business. We get a lot of referrals from our clients and local business network too.
What have you tried in marketing in the past that didn’t work?
Before COVID, we did a few trade show type of events and those didn’t work very well for us. We weren’t prepared for them and didn’t have a chance to make a plan before going in, and that’s what the real problem was for us. Any marketing that doesn’t have a plan behind it doesn’t usually work out well, whether it’s a video or posting on social media.

What is a piece of advice you’d give someone new or struggling in business?
What is a piece of advice you’d give someone new or struggling in business?
Don’t give up! It might get really hard and be scary, but that will be temporary. You can absolutely succeed as long as you keep trying. You might have to make adjustments, ask for help or even completely change direction. That’s ok! There is enough business for all of us. Your market, whoever they are, needs YOU. So go out there and be the best dang you that you can be! Also, and I’m being so serious here, take time off! Don’t work yourself into the ground. It can be hard to set boundaries at first but it is so worth it!
