A website designer with a passion for helping entrepreneurs create websites designed to turn visitors into customers.
Professionally: I’ve been designing websites and marketing plans since 2009 when I started my career in higher education. After more than twelve years in web design and marketing, I decided to step away from my position as Director of Marketing at a Kentucky college and start April Ray Creative. I now work from my home in serving clients both locally and online.
Personally: I am a follower of Christ, a wife to my high school sweetheart, Justin, and a mom to Lily and Jack. We live on a cattle farm outside of Mayfield, Kentucky with two cats and a dog. I am a lover of reading, yoga, traveling, and boating on Kentucky Lake.

After having to my daughter in 2017, I chose a 3rd option – start my own business.
I was nervous in the beginning. What if I couldn’t balance running a business and raising a family? Would I constantly be run ragged trying to keep up with it all? How would I drum up business for myself when I was so busy caring for my family, managing my household, and making time for a social life?
This is when I realized the importance of a website that works to grow a business 24/7.

Founder, Lead Designer and Marketing Strategist
As the lead designer and marketing strategist, you’ll work with me throughout your project. I will design your site, create and implement your marketing strategy. Along with my team, I continue to monitor, tweak, and communicate with you even as we move into the maintenance phase.
Kelly Burchett
Copywriter + Research Specialist
Kelly is our go to content writer based in Oklahoma City. She combines in depth research with conversion focused copy to create the words that will guide your audience towards working with you.
Michelle Bourbonniere, PH.D.
SEO Specialist
Michelle uses pro-level Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tools to provide plain-language SEO advice to our clients, including SEO audits, keyword research, content planning, and copy optimization.
Haley Gentry
Tech and Marketing Virtual Assistant
Haley handles many of the website edits and updates for our maintenance clients, social media posts, and many other tasks as needed. She is a dedicated problem solver with a passion for helping others. With seven years of experience as a math educator, she has honed her organizational skills and love for precision. Beyond work, she finds joy in spending time with her family, baking, and exploring new destinations.
