What is your main product or service and why are you so passionate about it?
I help female entrepreneurs manage their time, create systems and strategies so that they can do the work they love while still having time for their family and themselves.
I am passionate about it because I know how hard it is to juggle everything.
I struggled when I first started my business – especially since my husband was working in another state. So I had to take care of my children by myself, and try to run and grow my business.
What is one trait of a successful entrepreneur?
Persistence – keep going even when something doesn’t work. And keep trying until you find the “best” solution.
What is your favorite free or inexpensive resource that has made the biggest impact on your business and why?
Using a scheduling system has saved me time and makes a streamlined process for my clients. I send them a link – they can schedule, pay, complete a questionnaire, receive reminders – and then we both just show up for the call. A huge time saver. I currently use Calendly and Book Like A Boss
What is your morning routine?
I have a simple routine. I wake up, journal and then do some exercise.
How are you currently marketing your business?
I have a marketing strategy for multiple platforms. One fun way to market is Pinterest. It’s become one of my biggest drivers of traffic. Learning the ins and outs of how to use Pinterest for business is definitely interesting. In addition, it’s fun to create pins and see which ones do best (it’s often not the one I think….)
My Pinterest strategy is to create multiple pins for each blog post, which drives traffic to my website. In addition I have multiple pins for my optin (freebies – free guides, checklists etc.) that drive people to sign up for my optin and then get on my email list. From there I can nurture them.
What have you tried in marketing in the past that didn’t work?
I have a Twitter account but never really invested the time or learned the best strategy for Twitter.
What is a piece of advice you’d give someone new or struggling in business?
Focus, focus, focus.
For marketing, pick one mode, master it for your business before moving on.
