Today’s Lessons in Entrepreneurship brings us Jordan Wavra of Jordan Wavra Coaching. She is a Holistic Nutritionist, Energy Healer & Pre/Postnatal Fitness & Nutrition Specialist. She is also a wife and mother of two little boys. She and her family full time RVer’s currently living in Arizona. I stay home full-time with my boys while also running my business.

What is your main product or service and why are you so passionate about it?

My main service, Mindfully Nourished, is a 6-month Holistic Health Program designed to help busy moms nourish themselves holistically so they can feel better, have more energy and decrease stress.

When I was a kid, I was chronically sick. I was always on some antibiotic and missing weeks of school at a time. As I got older, my symptoms started manifesting in different ways. I had chronic stomach issues, was always fatigued & felt like my emotions were out of control. I went from doctor to doctor never getting an answer until I finally found a Holistic Health Practitioner who introduced me to Holistic Nutrition and holistic way of life. Within six months of working with him I felt better than I ever had before. And the funny thing is, I already thought I had a healthy diet before working with him. But I learned how food affects us all differently because our bodies are all different. I finally had energy, I felt better, my moods were better and I was no longer chronically suffering.

I am so passionate about sharing this with other moms because our society sets us up for failure when it comes to our health. It is all about quick fixes and band-aid solutions without getting to the root cause of the problem. We are taught to believe that the absence of “illness” means we are healthy when most people have no idea how good they could actually feel. They have not experienced the contrast to know any different.

Nourishing myself holistically makes me a better mom and wife, it makes me more productive & authentic in my work and allows me to nourish my children in a way that supports their growth, development & immune system. I’m grateful everyday that I have this knowledge as a parent, and I want other moms to feel this and experience it too.

What is one trait of a successful entrepreneur?

Having fortitude.

What is your favorite free or inexpensive resource that has made the biggest impact on your business and why?

Google Drive. When I was just starting and didn’t have it in my budget for a membership site, I used Google Drive to host all my modules, handouts & client resources. User friendly for both myself & my clients and it is free!

What is your morning routine?

I follow my own version on the SAVERS routine from The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.

I start my day off with Silence & gratitude, usually in the form of meditation. Then I read through my Affirmations and intentions for the day. The “V” stands for visualization, which I do during my meditation. “E” is for exercise, but I save this for later in the day. Instead, I move my body through stretches and rotations that help my body “wake up.” I then Read something motivating or inspirational. It might be a chapter in a book or if I’m short on time just a quote. “S” is for scribe (or write.) I write for a few minutes each morning and the topic varies day to day. Sometimes I’m just brain dumping, sometimes I’m brain storming, other times I’m just writing mindlessly.

How are you currently marketing your business?

Providing VALUE in other communities by teaching a Masterclass on Eating in Alignment with How You Want to Feel, Guest Features on Podcasts, My own Podcast, The Client Cashflow System taught by Ellen Yin of Cubicle 2 CE0.

What have you tried in marketing in the past that didn’t work?

Facebook Ads without any real strategy behind them, Posting on Social Media “just to post.”

What is a piece of advice you’d give someone new or struggling in business?

“Action creates confidence.” This quote has got me through a lot of self-doubt and feelings of resistance in my business.
